Before AWJ was a movement, it was a Singapore dance class.
AWJ began in 2020 as Afrodance fitness classes in Singapore — weekly drop-ins, corporate workshops,Afrodance Experiences that brought African rhythms from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Tanzania to a city that had never seen anything like it.
What started as a class became a community. The AWJ tribe danced through three pillars: Dance. Connect. Push Boundaries.
Hundreds of women later, the pattern was impossible to ignore. The ones who kept coming back weren't there for the workout. They were there for what happened to them on the dance floor — the moment they did the body roll they didn't think they could, the moment they laughed in front of strangers, the moment they realised the gap between who they thought they were and who they could be was smaller than they'd been told.
The classes are no longer running.
But the foundation they built is what evolved into Soul, Courage, Impact. And what evolved into the brand AWJ is today.
The NUDGE
Philosophy
You already know.
The gap between knowing and doing is where almost lives. It's where most women lose the years.
She doesn't need more insight. More confidence. More plans. She needs to move - before she feels ready, before she has proof, before her mind catches up to what her body has been trying to tell her.
Soul hears the nudge. Courage takes the step. Impact is the life that opens up.
AWJ is built for the crossing.
Sometimes all you need is a nudge.

Meet Jeevi
I'm a Sport and Exercise Psychologist, an Afrodance fitness instructor, and the founder of AWJ — based between Singapore and Nairobi.
As a Spaceholder, I create live experiences where women practice the only thing that closes the gap between knowing and doing: moving. The free Monday class. The mini-courses. Ten days in Kenya every March.
As an Author, I wrote The Nudge Queen — for the woman who has been almost for too long.
As a Speaker, I bring keynotes and workshops to organisations who are tired of the same off-site — built on a decade of sport and exercise psychology, delivered through the language of Afrodance.
My mission: to nudge women out of almost and into actually.
