I'M JEEVI, YOUR SPORT PSYCHOLOGIST

MY MISSION

With a profound passion for sport, dance, and mental well-being, I have dedicated my career to supporting athletes across diverse sports, from sailing to netball, gymnastics to silat, and beyond.

​

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of working with athletes at all levels, from everyday training to major competitions like the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) and Southeast Asian Games. My mission is clear; to maximize performance and well-being, not just during peak moments, but in daily training and preparation.

MY WORKING STYLE

As an accredited sport and exercise psychologist with bases (UK), my practice is rooted in evidence-based interventions tailored to individuals and teams. I recognize that success in sports involves the entire ecosystem, so I collaborate closely with coaches, parents, and support staff to foster growth and excellence.

THE DARE PLATFORM

Drawing from personal experiences in sports like netball and marathons, I understand athletes challenges firsthand. This drives my commitment to the sporting community which led to the birth of the DARE Platform.

CONNECT, RECOVER, and ACT, the 3 main pillars of The DARE Platform guide the support for athletes and dancers but are also guided by my values of connection & authenticity (CONNECT), self-care & growth (RECOVER), and courage & psychological flexibility (ACT).

DARE to REST

Welcome to DARE to REST (The DARE Platform), a movement born from a deeply personal journey of discovery and transformation.

In 2022, my life changed when I traveled through Africa and eventually made Kenya my home. For the first time, I experienced what it meant to truly rest—guilt-free. It wasn’t easy at first. Coming from a culture of hustle, where rest was seen as weakness or laziness, I struggled to let go of the need to constantly achieve. But Kenya, with its slower pace of life, showed me a different way of being.

I witnessed how people gather under the trees to share tea, the beauty of embracing “African timing,” and the profound value of living in the moment. I learned that not everything has to be done now or in a rush. Rest became a fuel for my creativity and growth, not a hindrance.

As a Sport Psychologist, I’ve seen burnout firsthand—in athletes, colleagues, and even myself. Recovery and rest are often overlooked, even though they are essential for performance and longevity. A recent poll in my AWJ tribe revealed how common this struggle is: 21 people openly shared that they didn’t know how to rest. This engagement confirmed what I’d been feeling—it’s time to reframe the narrative around rest for those who fear or misunderstand it.
